Why financial planning?

When I founded Monson Wealth Management back in 2000, my goal was to create a firm that would adapt, innovate, and always put clients first. Over the years, I’ve built investment models, refined tax strategies, and walked clients through what I like to call “retirement dreaming”—the process of turning financial plans into real-life possibilities.

What I enjoy most, though, is meeting people. I love sitting down with clients, hearing their stories, and helping them map out what’s possible for the next stage of life. I’ve never been afraid of change, and I believe in making sure our firm always evolves—whether that’s adopting better technology, smarter systems, or new ways of serving families.

For me, financial planning is about much more than numbers. It’s about relationships, vision, and creating freedom for the future.

Personal Life

What am I like outside of work?

I’m passionate about living an active lifestyle. I’m an avid tennis player and will fit in a kettlebell workout or a quick hike whenever I can. Staying fit and moving keeps me energized for work, family, and everything in between.

Family is at the center of my world. I’m a proud dad to three amazing adult children, and in the spring of 2024, my wife, Autumn, and I welcomed our baby boy—an incredible new chapter for us.

And while most people see me as a confident advisor and firm leader, not everyone knows I’ve got a softer side. Yes—it’s true—I can tear up at a Hallmark commercial.

For me, life is about connection, vitality, and enjoying every chapter—whether it’s with my family, on the tennis court, or working with clients.
